Luwello Takes Home the Top Prize on Project Pitch It Season 9
We have some exciting news to share with the Luwello community! Recently, we stood before the moguls on Season 9, Episode 2 of Project Pitch It—Wisconsin’s premier startup competition—to share our mission of high-performance gear and canine advocacy.
We are incredibly honored to announce that Luwello walked away with the top prize.
Why the Luwello Mission Resonated
Standing on that stage was about more than just a business pitch; it was an opportunity to show how Luwello is bridging the gap between an active lifestyle and proactive pet health. The judges were particularly impressed with our commitment to manufacturing in the USA and our focus on solving real-world problems for dog handlers.
During the episode, we highlighted the intentional design behind our award-winning gear:
- The 1" Adjustable Hands-Free Leash: Featuring a built-in road loop for high-traffic control and a multi-functional tethering handle.
- The Portable Settle Mat: A lightweight, waterproof "office" for service dogs and adventure pups alike.
A Win for Canine Cancer Research
The most meaningful part of the pitch was discussing why we do what we do. Luwello was founded to empower pet owners with education on the canince cancer epidemic and to fund the fight against hemangiosarcoma in dogs.
Because of your support, a percentage of every sale is donated directly to Ethos Discovery. These funds go toward critical research for hemangiosarcoma and other canine cancers, helping us move closer to a world where our dogs live longer, healthier lives.
